About Ridge Baseball - The Green "Red Devils"

Prior to 1961, Bernards Township students attended Bernards High School, in Bernardsville, which was originally part of our Township.  The land on which Ridge High School sits was donated by George Ludlow Lee Sr., a former owner and CEO of the Red Devil Tool Company.  To honor Mr. Lee for this generous land donation, students voted the new school mascot to be the "Red Devil".  The Ridge football field is also named after Mr. Lee.  At the same time, because rival Bernards High School's colors were red and black, students also voted to further differentiate the schools by choosing green instead of red.

Since its inception, Ridge has won three State Championships (1987, 2000 & 2002) and seven Somerset County Tournament Championships ('76, '80, '84, '85, '89, '11, & '22)

Preseason winter training for the JV and Varsity teams will be held at ZONED Sport Academy from January through February.  Signup e-mails will be sent out to players and parents in late November or click on the provided link below to register.

Team evaluations begin in late February - early March.  Players can contact the coaches directly with questions.

All fundraising events will be communicated and organized through the RIDGE DIAMOND CLUB.

•  Cornhole Tournament - November 21, 2024
  Our first fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.  The Cornhole Tournament is open to current students, parents and alumni.  Registration will be $20 per person - sign-up outside the cafeteria, online or at the door.  Please let us know if you have a Cornhole Board set that we can borrow by clicking here or emailing us at ridgedevilsbaseball@gmail.com. 
• Dodgeball Tournament - Coming early March 2024, details to follow.
• RHS Varsity Clinic - Ridge Baseball Club Complex March 24, 2024 
• Pasta Dinner – March 27 or 28, 2024 - Held at the Ridge HS Cafeteria. The Pasta Dinner is the kickoff dinner for players on the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams.  At the Pasta Dinner, the Ridge Diamond Club will collect player season dues, sell lawn signs, and other items.  The dinner is always a great night for the players, coaches and parents.  A signup Genie email will be circulated as the date draws closer.
